Located in Greenbank, Bristol Children's Playhouse provides a supportive and stimulating environment for the whole family. Unique to the area it offers a family 'Drop-in' facility open Monday to Thursday and a Pre-school. The Pre-School and Drop-in are housed in separate buildings but share the wonderful outdoor play area which has recently been updated with new toys and equipment.

Open since 1979 Bristol Children's Playhouse is a well used and essential part of the community. Our aim is to safeguard and promote the welfare of children in need within the family and provide quality pre-school education allowing children to gain positive experiences which will improve their confidence and self-esteem. We work against the isolation, depravation and poverty of families and disadvantaged people within the community.

The Pentecostal City Mission Church have kindly allowed us to display our banner on their railings in Fishponds Road and we would like to thank them for supporting our good work.

Opening times (Term Time)

Family drop in centre: Mon-Fri 9.30 - 1pm from Mon 31st January 2011.

Nursery: Open Monday - Friday

Morning Session 9 - 12 Afternoon Sessions 12.15 3.15 and All Day 9 - 3pm

Welcome to two new members of staff they are Amy Whitworth a qualified teacher wo will be doing a job share in the Nursery with louise.  Also Welcome to Melissa Curtis who will be working both in the Nursery as a Early Years Practitioner and "drop-in" doing Family Support.  We Welcome the both.

 


 

 


 Bristol Children's Playhouse is managed by Trustees.  This involves monthly meetings discussing the future of the Playhouse.  We also have a fundraising group which you might like to join for raising funds for resources, trips and events.  If you would like to make new friends and develop your skills please talk to a member of staff.

 

Got some spare time?

Volunteers are always welcome at the Playhouse.  Why not join us in the Drop-in whilst yur child is in the Pre-school or spend time with your child reading stories or play lotto games or even do a craft activity with us. If interested talk to us to find out more.
