Job Opportunity: 1:1 SEND Support Worker – Early Years (Magpies Room)

Location: Magpies Room (3/4-year-olds)
Contract: Academic Year 2025–2026 (subject to funding)
Hours – Wednesday 12-3, Thursday and Friday 9-3 (subject to funding)
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: £12.21/hour + 12.07% holiday pay pro rata

About the Role
We are seeking two dedicated and nurturing individuals to join our Early Years team as 1:1 SEND Support Workers in our Magpies Room. This role is vital in supporting our children to access and enjoy their daily routines and learning experiences in a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.
You will work closely with individual children, helping them engage with activities across our indoor and outdoor learning areas—including our playground and woodland space. Your support will help build their confidence and overall development
.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 support tailored to individual children's needs
Assist with daily routines and transitions
Facilitate participation in play-based and structured learning activities
Encourage social interaction and communication
Support children’s emotional wellbeing and independence
Collaborate with the Magpies team and SEND lead to monitor progress and share insights

Qualifications & Experience Desirable (but not essential):
Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification
Experience supporting children with SEN
Familiarity with the EYFS curriculum
Ability to work effectively 1:1 and in small groups
A conscientious and nurturing approach to childcare
